From Saturday 23rd to Monday 25th April 2022 at the ExCel in London, optometrists Simon Browning, Ian Jarvis, Paul McDonald and Keval Sejpar will be hosting sessions worth CPD points.

The Optos stand sessions include a beginner’s guide to ultra-widefield imaging, interpreting pathology and disease, and multi-modal imaging as an enhancement to standard retinal examinations. Simon Browning will also be presenting ‘Ultra-widefield imaging – friend or foe?’ on the main stage on Saturday at 2.30pm.

Throughout the event, Keval, Paul and Simon will be hosting Lunch & Learn sessions on the five key steps to making optomap® work in independent practice. These sessions will allow professionals to understand the challenges and opportunities that come with investing in ultra-widefield technology.

Optos’ Daytona, Monaco and Silverstone devices will also be on display at the company’s stand throughout the show where visitors can view the models, ask questions and book in for show-floor demonstrations where they can have their optomap UWF retinal images taken.

Based in Dunfermline, Optos was founded 30 years ago by Douglas Anderson. Douglas developed the ground-breaking optomap retinal imaging technology, which produces a 200° single-capture image of the retina in less than half a second, following his five-year-old son losing his sight in one eye due to a retinal detachment.

Optos was acquired by Nikon in 2015 and has since sold more than 20,000 optomap devices worldwide and has offices across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
